Earthquake

This week, our mitzvah is about a tragedy that unfolded only this week. A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the city of Durres, Albania, on November 26 (Tuesday). So far, it has resulted in 21 deaths and serious damage, leaving many homeless. The survivors are in need of funds to cover food and shelter for those who lost their homes.

Imam Tahir Kukaj and the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center on Staten Island have mounted a humanitarian campaign to help the victims of the devastating earthquake.
