Friendly Fridge
Friendly Fridge
The demand for the Friendly Fridge BX is increasing exponentially, with the result that they are struggling to keep the shelves filled with fresh produce and other fresh food.
From the Friendly Fridge ladies:
"Produce is the top priority so shopping locally for fruits & veggies is optimum. Peppers, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, spinach, zucchini, garlic, celery, cilantro, apples, bananas, oranges, mangoes.
"If you are shopping for dry goods, please lean toward purchasing anything a family or person can cook with. Oil, rice, beans, oatmeal, nuts, raisins, peanut butter, tuna, soup, pasta and sauces are what folks are asking for most.
"Carefully-packaged & labeled home-cooked meals, breads and sandwiches are amazing. We hear from folks ALL the time how much these are appreciated."
You can drop food off at the Friendly Fridge at any time (open 24/7). The Fridge is located at 5977 Broadway near 242nd Street.
