March on DC

It has been a little over a month since the events of October 7, and the situation in Israel and Gaza continues with no end in sight. Here are a few small ways that we can take action.

I invite you to continue in your support of Dror Israel, as the community of Mitzpe Ramon (population 5.500) has now welcomed 10,000 internal refugees. Go to https://www.drorisrael.org/donate.

We urge you to continue your support of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Our government and that of Israel need to know that we have not and we will not forget them. Here are a number of ways that you can exhibit that support:

  1. You can contact local politicians.
  2. You can recite psalms
  3. You can attend vigils
  4. You can put up flyers. Go to https://www.kidnappedfromisrael.com/ to download them.

And most of all you can choose to remember them and talk about them.

UPDATE: The March in DC is this Monday, November 14. There are still 18 spots on buses going to the march, sponsored by the Riverdale Jewish Community Partnership. The buses are leaving from Riverdale Temple. Register at www.riverdaley.org/DCrally.

World Central Kitchen is working with local restaurants in Israel to serve meals to displaced people and soldiers, and has set up food resources throughout the region. Go to https://wck.org/relief/israel-gaza-2023 to donate.
