Ruth's Refuge
Ruth's Refuge
We are joining with Ansche Chesed to work with Ruth's Refuge, an organization that provides furniture and home essentials to asylum seekers released from detention or shelters and newly arrived refugees rebuilding their lives in New York City.
We can help fulfill the obligation to Welcome the Stranger by purchasing items for families who need beds to sleep on, comforters and blankets to stay warm, kitchen, bath, and cleaning supplies to keep them safe and healthy.
To that end, Ansche Chesed has established an Amazon wish list. Click HERE to purchase one or more of the listed items. Be sure to choose the delivery address Ruth’s Refuge c/o Ansche Chesed, 251 West 100th St, NY, NY 10025. They will collect everything during December and in January will make their delivery to Ruth's Refuge storage in Brooklyn.
If you have other new boxed items similar to those on the Amazon list, please send them to Ruth’s Refuge c/o Ansche Chesed, and we’ll add them to the collection.
If you have any questions, please email JHanft@anschechesed.org.
