Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving
This week's mitzvah is about gratitude. Make sure to listen to the two most recent episodes of Tehillah Talks, the latest being all about gratitude.
This week is Transgender Awareness Week; this Shabbat, November 20th, marks a day of remembrance for those who have been killed for who they are.
I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude to someone who has been our teacher and part of our Tehillah community even since moving back to Chicago. Jay Stanton has provided a mirror for this community, allowing us to be our best selves. With that in mind, I want to say thank you to our teacher and friend for bringing Transgender Awareness to our community, not as a concept, but in the embodiment of a wise, thoughtful and caring teacher.
We are grateful that Jay continues to be part of our Tehillah community, even from afar. He recently created our Healing Service for Yom Kippur and led a film discussion and ran a workshop for us.
