Children are the future, and it is our sacred duty to do what we can for them. With that in mind, we suggest that you read about a program by Dror Israel. Dror Israel is operating emergency day care centers for refugee children on the Poland-Ukraine border. Drawing upon our training and expertise in informal education, and our experience running emergency day care/education centers during COVID, Dror educators are establishing programs for refugee children along the Poland-Ukraine border:
*Programs operate from sun-up to sun-down, 7 days a week, offering mothers the time they need to navigate life in the refugee system.
*Children ages 3-13 engage in group games, arts and crafts, dance and sports, drama and music, and more, a welcome relief from the traumas of war.
*Our teams include Russian speakers to enable communication and connection.
*Introduction to Hebrew is available for those children whose families plan to move to Israel.
*We operate in partnership with those aid agencies providing shelter, food, medicines, and other basic necessities.
