Wash Your Hands
Wash Your Hands
The first case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was diagnosed in California this week, taking the pandemic to a new level in the U.S. With that in mind, the mitzvah this week is WASH YOUR HANDS. Research shows that proper hand-washing technique substantially lowers the risk of transmission of disease. Click HERE for the CDC page on hand-washing.
The NYC Department of Education recently sent out an email with a useful list of to-do's to avoid contracting or transmitting the flu:
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or sleeve. If you use a tissue, dispose of it carefully.
- Wash your hands regularly
- Avoid touching your face
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Get your flu shot—it’s never too late
- Stay home if you’re feeling sick
In this precarious time, take care of yourself and give thought to others.
